Bentley Mulsanne Key Celebrates Its Centenary

Mulliner, Bentley's custom coachbuilding unit, has designed a unique keycase to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Bentley. It is made from Dark stained Walnut with Piano Black Veneer and includes an eagle-like "B" paperweight, keys, and an album of never-before-seen 1930s 8 Litre images.

This is the perfect way to greet a new vehicle owner.

Aesthetics

Bentley is a firm that takes its aesthetics very seriously. It shows in the precision placement of its quilting, the selection of leather from by-products of cattle, the wood from sustainably managed forests and the innovative patterns on its levers. When you drive by a car like the Continental GT W12, its beautiful sculptural design is highlighted by carefully curated lighting.

The Continental GT is Bentley's most sophisticated open-top vehicle. The rear tonneau of Continental GT, for instance, featured the largest piece ever made of dark-stained Burr Walnut veneer that was book-matched. Similarly, the electrically-operated glass sunroof and champagne cooler that incorporated hand-blown and hand-cut lead crystal bottles marked a new benchmark in luxury and innovation.

It is this bespoke design, craftsmanship and attention to detail that have established Bentley as the most sought-after automobile brand. The company continues to push the boundaries using the most advanced technologies and hand-crafted products. This includes the introduction of an electronic tilt-opening rear sunroof and a handcrafted Apple iPad docking station.

Bentley celebrated its 100th anniversary in the year 2019 a century after it was founded. The marque, which is now owned by Volkswagen alone following years of conflict with BMW and Volkswagen, had planned a variety of special events and launches to commemorate this significant occasion. Before pandemic planning took place, the marque held a series of special events and launches planned to commemorate this milestone event.

Design

Bentley is a renowned brand for its lavish and extravagant automobiles and even the keys are designed to stand out. The Bentayga Key is made of sterling silver and features a large B' logo to signal to everyone that you drive a Bentley. It's also engraved with the years 1919 and 2019, to commemorate the company's centenary.

The Mulsanne was revamped and redesigned by Bentley Mulliner, to be the ultimate Grand Touring car. The rear seats are designed to provide passengers with unmatched comfort and privacy. They were inspired by the luxury private aircraft. The customized heating and ventilation as well as air conditioning system was developed to give each passenger the ideal temperature control.

Alongside a range of stylishly executed styling changes The Mulsanne is powered by a twin-turbocharged 6.75-litre W12 engine that can produce 560bhp and 479lb ft of torque.  bentley bentayga key  is complemented by a revolutionary suspension design that gives Bentley's famously quiet ride.

In celebration of its Centenary, Bentley introduced a unique specification known as the Centenary Specification for cars manufactured in 2019. The cabin features cross-stitching and contrast stitching in Centenary Gold throughout. The Bentley Wings are embroidered with Centenary Gold on the headrests, seats and other areas of the car.  bentley continental gt key fob  makes it more fun to celebrate. A custom Bentley key case is also included in the Centenary Specification, making the Bentley experience all-inclusive.

Function

The Bentley Mulsanne Key comes with two buttons: one that opens the trunk, and the second that starts the vehicle. It also has a switch to turn on the parking break. There is a knob to fold and unfold the mirrors while parking in tight spaces. This feature helps you get in and out of your vehicle.

The key is made of vegetable tanned leather and takes over two days to craft each one. It is cut by hand, shaped, sewn, sealed and polished to create a high-quality finish. It is light and compact and fits the Bentley key perfectly. Its design is similar to the Volkswagen Phaeton large car's key, but it feels much heavier and has a more premium feel.

bentley smart key  has Secure-A-Key, which helps prevent theft of keys that are keyless. This device is inserted inside the remote-control key fob, and is turned off after a few minutes of inactivity. This prevents thieves from transmitting the key's frequency to other devices that are able to unlock and start the vehicle.

Bentley's unique design reflects the firm's values of high-quality craftsmanship and engineering expertise as well as modern technology. Over 4,000 people work at its Crewe headquarters, responsible for the design, development, and production of Bentley automobiles. These workers apply the skills that have been handed through generations to modern automotive technology. This is British manufacturing at its finest.

Personalisation

Bentley's bespoke division, Mulliner, allows customers to design their own vehicle. Guests sit at a series of images called "mood stations" and choose a selection of photos ranging from scenic landscapes to sporting events that can inspire them. After each selection is made, a pattern is created and reveals the model and color preferences for the customized Bentley.

The configuration that is created is then loaded onto individual R.F.I.D.-enabled keys which are presented to the guests in a handmade key case. Keys can be outfitted with Bentley Muliner Personalised welcome lamps that illuminate the pathway of the door opening with the owner's logo or name as they approach the vehicle.

Bentley estimates that it takes around 500 man-hours to build and construct a Mulsanne. The key to this time-consuming effort is a conscious refusal to embrace modern tech. Instead of using a machine to place the perfectly matched cross-stitched leather seats workers at the Crewe factory do it by hand. Drivers must park their cars manually, not using the built-in sensors to direct them to perpendicular and parallel spaces.

Bentley showcased its Mulliner personalization capabilities with a special Mulsanne W.O. Edition, that pays homage to the William Osler, the founder of Bentley. Edition, which pays tribute to the man who founded the company, William Osler Bentley. The 100 limited-edition cars include a special key that displays a portion of the 1930 8 Liter's crankshaft.
